You are invited to Star Street Uniting Church on the 23rd August at 6:30pm to join in a community forum discussing The Voice referendum.
There will be a number of speakers including:
Simon Forrest – Emeritus Professor, recognised Nyungar elder & local resident
Murray Masters – Registered Nurse, advocate for Aboriginal people & local resident
Tyson McEwan – Youth Ambassador for the Voice
Wendy Hendry – Uniting Church representative
The forum will be chaired by Zaneta Mascarenhas, Federal member for Swan.
The forum will be an opportunity to consider:
- Where did the idea of The Voice come from?
- How will the Voice be appointed and what will it do?
- How will the Voice improve the lives of Aboriginal and Islander Peoples?
- Will the Voice unite or divide us as a nation?
